Keeping Karlsson Episode 11

Week 11 of the Keeping Karlsson fantasy podcast starts off with a bang as Elan and Brian gloat about how amazing their teams performed in the previous week. Next they discuss moves they’ve made since the last episode, involving players including Michael Raffl, Valeri Nichushkin, Mark Scheifele, Tyler Johnson, Jake Muzzin and Jack Johnson


Next, Elan discusses a trade he made that was vetoed, involving Erik Karlsson and Alex Ovechkin. The guys discuss what they think warrants a fair veto. This is followed by a discussion of some players of interest including James van Riemsdyk, Petr Mrazek, Jonas Gustavsson, Nathan Horton, Dustin Penner and Kyle Palmieri.


This is followed by listener questions both from the fantasyhockey sub-reddit and Twitter. Players discussed here include Henrik Lundqvist, Braden Holtby, Max Pacioretty, Ryan Johansen, Gabriel Landeskog, Marian Gaborik, Alexander Semin, Shane Doan, Patrice Bergeron, Clarke MacArthur, Valeri Nichushkin and Chris Stewart.


Next Brian discusses some players he’s mentioned in previous episodes and looks into how they’ve been doing. These include Mark Streit, Teemu Selanne, Bryan Little, Pascal Dupuis, Martin Jones and Ben Scrivens. The show then concludes with a lightning round where Dwight King, Charlie Coyle and Andy Greene are discussed.

Keeping Karlsson Episode 10

Episode 10 of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast is jam-packed with loads of useful advice and tips to help you win your hockey pool. Elan and Brian start off the show as always by talking about how they did in their most recent matchups. Next they talk about moves they’ve made in the past week including players such as Cody Eakin, Valeri Nichushkin, Roman Josi, Josh Gorges, Davis Desharnais, Kris Versteeg and Nick Foligno.


Next a few players of note are covered including Dustin Brown, Tomas Hertl and Bryan Little. The guys also discuss where Patrick Kane fits in the ranking of elite fantasy assets.


Afterwards, some listener questions are addressed, both from the Fantasy Hockey Subreddit as well as from Twitter. Players discussed here include Kris Letang, Martin Jones, Ben Scrivens, Mike Cammalleri, Loui Eriksson and Ryan Strome.


The show ends with the snoozer and rapid fire segments where Brian gives his thoughts on Mark Streit, Teemu Sellane, Nick Bonino and Nathan Gerbe.

Keeping Karlsson Episode 9

Thanks for checking out episode 9 of Keeping Karlsson, the best fantasy hockey podcast hosted by two guys who own Erik Karlsson in their keeper pools. This episode starts off as always with Elan and Brian discussing their past weeks. The discussion focuses mainly on them complaining about Semyon Varlamov’s 8 goals against disaster versus the Edmonton Oilers.


Next the guys talk about the moves they’ve made since the last episode. Players discussed in this segment include Brandon Dubinsky, Cody Eakin, Martin Havlat, Curtis McElhinney, Henrik Zetterberg and David Desharnais.


The majority of the show is spent responding to listener tweets, emails and Reddit questions. Players discussed include Jack Johnson, Kris Russell, Slava Voynov, Jonathan Quick, Pekka Rinne, Matt Moulson, Alex Semin and Sergei Bobrovsky. Other topics discussed include the Edmonton Oilers’ offence and whether it is worth trading an elite player for two lesser players.
