The best hockey podcast in the world hosted by two guys who at one point owned Erik Karlsson in their keeper pools.

No. 79 - What the Devil?

While Elan is off doing god knows what in Vegas, Brian takes the reins on this edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast.

Brian isn't going at it alone, though-- Hockey PDOcast's Dimitri Filipovic steps in to guest host as we fly through this week's most pertinent poolie particulars. We look at an unusually high volume in changes to top lines across the NHL, including those in Columbus, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Vancouver, Chicago, Long Island, Dallas and Florida, as well as the newest opportunities available to some hungry up-and-comers that might just be ready to start producing.

We also compare the production of the players on two of the hottest lines in the league-- these guys are not only putting up points, but they're doing it while wearing NHL crests long associated with scoring scarcity and boring hockey (though that reputation may be proving harder to shake for one particular locale).

Players discussed on this episode include Nick Bjugstad, Brent Seabrook, Adam Henrique, Pascal Dupuis, James Neal, Lee Stempniak, Trevor van Riemsdyk, Dmitri Jaskin, Jori Lehtera, Mattias Janmark, Mike Cammalleri, Erik Karlsson, Colton Parayko, Duncan Keith, Alex Barkov, Jaromir Jagr, Jaden Schwartz, Mike Green, Brendan Smith, Niklas Kronwall, Evander Kane, Matt Moulson, Johan Larsson, Teemu Pulkkinen, Paul Stastny, David Backes, Scotty Upshall, Jonathan Huberdeau, Michael Neuvirth, Steve Mason, Jaroslav Halak, Thomas Greiss, Chris Kunitz, David Perron, Ryan Johansen, Brandon Dubinsky, Radim Vrbata, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Ryan Strome, Kyle Okposo, Matthew Nieto, Joel Ward, Viktor Tikhonov, Antti Raanta, Mike Fisher, Mike Ribeiro, James Neal, Trevor Daley, Andrei Markov, Alex Semin, Jeff Skinner, Patrick Sharp, Max Domi, Tobias Rieder, Anthony Duclair, Sergei Bobrovsky, Craig Anderson and more.

No. 78 - Silver Linings PlayTuuk

We hope you've got somewhere very far away to travel, because we're serving up more commute-length eleganza in this episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast!

In this edition of the show, Elan tries not to get too down on superstars who have had not-so-super starts to the season, including elite fantasy mainstays in Pittsburgh and Anaheim and injuries in San Jose and Detroit. To your potential surprise, Brian takes it upon himself to rush forth with silver linings found buried within the grey number clouds.

We also play our first round of Sustainable or Fleeting for the 2015-16 season, zeroing in on the production prognosis of sophomores in Tampa, Buffalo and Florida, as well as a pack of Yotes getting plucked of waiver wires far beyond Arizona.

The episode wraps up with a lightning round chock full of shallow and deep adds for you to consider heading into the next week of fantasy action, including a league leading Maple Leaf, a top-3 Hab, an Islander trying to make it on his own, a well-appointed Senator, a wayward Oiler finally sticking on a scoring line, a pair of Canes contributing to their team's early successes, and the other rookie in Buffalo.

Players discussed on this episode include Sidney Crosby, Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf, Anthony Duclair, Max Domi, Tobias Rieder, Martin Hanzal, Matt Duchene, Jarome Iginla, Mark Giordano, Dougie Hamilton, TJ Brodie, Dennis Wideman, Kris Russell, Jonathan Huberdeau, Nick Leddy, Marek Zidlicky, Mike Green, Niklas Kronwall, Sergei Bobrovsky, Tuukka Rask, Semyon Varlamov, Reto Berra, Tomas Tatar, Kyle Okposo, Teemu Pulkkinen, Logan Couture, Joel Ward, Johan Franzen, Tomas Hertl, Erik Johnson, Tyson Barrie, Francois Beauchemin, Nazem Kadri, Tyler Bozak, Kevin Shattenkirk, Colten Parayko, Paul Stastny, Jori Lehtera, Nicklas Backstrom, Alex Semin, Alex Galchenyuk, Marcus Johansson, Andre Burakovsky, John Carlson, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Alex Barkov, Jaromir Jagr, Michael Neuvirth, Steve Mason, Kris Versteeg, Brendan Gallagher, Ian Cole, Sam Reinhart, Tyler Ennis, Eric Staal, Jeff Skinner, Nail Yakupov, Kyle Okposo, Mike Hoffman and more.

No. 77 - Panaringing in the New Year

Hockey's back! Hockey's back!!! And on this episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast, Elan and Brian finally get to stack up a summer's worth of prognostication against a precious few games worth of real-life action.

We've followed a thousand storylines into the season, and it seems like another thousand have already popped up: the first stars of the 2014 draft class coming of age, KHL crossovers starting in stride, fantasy stars of the not-so-distant past continuing to produce into "old age," and so much more.

We're bringing you a super-long edition of the show this week to get you caught up on all that's happened in 5 short days, and how you can use it all to maneuver your fantasy team into the best possible position in these early but crucial days of the 2015-16 season.

Players discussed on this episode include (*takes deep breath*): Artemi Panarin, Teuvo Teravainen, Oscar Lindberg, Dylan Larkin, Justin Abdelkader, Nikolaj Ehlers, Mark Scheifele, Mathieu Perreault, Robby Fabbri, Jori Lehtera, David Backes, Jonas Donskoi, Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau, Brandon Sutter, Daniel Sedin, Radim Vrbata, Alex Burmistrov, Francois Beauchemin, Mike Cammalleri, Jarome Iginla, Alex Tanguay, David Krejci, Jaromir Jagr, Ales Hemsky, Eric Staal, Christian Ehrhoff, Henrik Sedin, Robin Lehner, Chad Johnson, Jonas Hiller, Kari Ramo, Ben Scrivens, Jonathan Bernier, James Reimer, Kyle Okposo, Ryan Strome, Rasmus Ristolainen, Cody Franson, Cody Eakin, Mattias Janmark, Ryan Murray, Jack Johnson, David Savard, Anton Slepyshev, Milan Lucic, Dustin Brown, Sergei Plotnikov, Chris Kunitz, David Perron, Antti Niemi, Brian Elliott, Jake Allen, Cam Ward, Eddie Lack, Andrew Shaw, Ryan Garbutt, Brad Richards, Joel Edmundsen, Robert Bortuzzo, Jake Muzzin, Drew Doughty, Jonathan Quick, Jhonas Enroth, James Wisniewski, Noah Hanifin, Ryan Murphy, Justin Faulk, Zach Hyman, Martin Hanzal, Tobias Rieder, Max Domi, Mike Hoffman, Bo Horvat, Jared McCann, and probably more but I'm just about done typing the names of hockey players for the rest of my life. Until next week.

No. 76 - Dano Way

On this episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast, Elan and Brian share some notable trends they've noticed in their fantasy drafts, and help you begin to build your watchlist and make your first FA acquisitions of the 2015-16 seasons.

After picking our jaws up off the floor, we go on to try to make sense of Dano's AHL assignment, and consider a multitude of unexpected opportunities presenting themselves in Edmonton and elsewhere around the league due to early injuries.

We also openly wonder about the updated fantasy value of one of last year's most surprising starters, an under-the-radar pick from last year who was understandably abandoned by most of his owners, a young Canuck on somewhat of an island, and a couple new names making impressions on preseason scoresheets.

Players discussed on this episode include Marko Dano, Artemi Panarin, Andrew Shaw, Jordan Eberle, Anton Slepyshev, TJ Brodie, Dougie Hamilton, Zach Bogosian, Cody Franson, Andrew Hammond, Craig Anderson, Matt O'Connor, Kyle Baun, Andreas Athanasiou, Bo Horvat, Jori Lehtera, Patrick Maroon, Leon Draisatl, Anton Lander, Nail Yakupov, Brad Richards, Dennis Wideman, Kris Russell, Justin Abdelkader and more.
